Can you make money by cashing in on audio interviews? These are the real details on how this is accomplished.

Audio Streaming - How to Succeed - Part 3

HTTP Live Streaming

This is a system based on HTTP and incorporates media streaming and a communications protocol. It was first implemented by the Apple Corporation when they established their QuickTime X and iPhone software systems.

The way the live streaming system operates is to convert the data stream into a number of small HTTP based files. Each file is then downloaded, which in turn loads one small segment of the data stream. As soon as the stream is played, the client has the option of selecting a particular stream from a variety of alternative streams containing the same data but which has been encoded at different data rates. In this way, the streaming session is able to adapt itself to the prevailing rate of data transmission. When the streaming session begins, the system downloads a playlist which contains the data from the various sub-streams that are available.

Since the requests for data require only standard HTTP transactions, then HTTP Live Streaming is able to traverse any firewall or proxy server which themselves allow standard HTTP traffic to travel through.

Terms

HTTP - Also known as Hypertext Transfer Protocol, is an application-level protocol. There are two principal versions, viz. HTTP/1.0 which uses a separate connection for each document, and HTTP/1.1 that is able to reuse the same connection in order to download, for example, images of the previous page. As a result, HTTP/1.1 could be faster of the two versions since time is taken to set up such connections.

HTTP is a request/response standard used in client-server computing. The client is an application, such as a web browser, on the computer that is used by an end-user. On the other hand, the server is an application running on the computer hosting the web site. The client submits HTTP requests.

Protocol - With reference to computing, the term protocol refers to a series of rules which are applied to computers in order that they are able to communicate with each other when transmitting across a network. He said, "Hey, I'm having problems logging in to your web site, what's the deal?" I helped him out and I said, "Hey, what do you do?" He says, "Well, I'm a publisher and I published this special effects cookbook." That sounded really cool and he sold a million copies of it. I mean a real millionaire self publisher.

His idol was Ted Nicholas and he'd been interviewed in a lot of news papers, and I asked if he'd be willing to do an interview and he let me interview him about his success.

This is the way way I was able to secure an interview with Bob Bly and Ben Settle. I remember I emailed each of them after seeing their newsletters. Before we even met and I said, "This guy is a good copywriter." He sounded like Gary Halbert.

But a simple email or phone call is all you need and you can have access to any business expert you need to interview.

As soon as I released the first review copies of my book, Internet Radio: How to do it! If all you want is the thrill of hearing something that you've thrown together coming out of your computer speakers, then internet radio IS easy. If, however, you want to build something that will still be there in 30, 60 or 90 days, and will build an audience then internet radio isn't quite so easy.

The fact is that you have advantages that the big radio companies don't have: namely that you don't have the overhead and revenue expectations that these companies have. The Secret of Letting People Listen to and Download Your Audio Mp3 Files

There are several ways and options to deliver audio to your listeners. I'm using the Audio Terminator product for parts of my web site.

On my recent tele-seminar my welcome message automatically starts playing when you go to the page. There is an option with the Audio Terminator service when you create your button you can choose do I want it to automatically play on every visit or do I want the visitor to have to hit the play button, so you have that choice. So Audio Terminator is what I'm using.

People want to take their audio with them and they want to take it on the road and they want to play it their way. Don't determine how your market's going to listen to your interviews, give them choices.

Having the ability to download it is definitely a premium advantage and you can use that advantage to bribe your visitors to give up their name and e-mail address. In product creation that's another option. You could have three different levels. Let's say your selling a series of audio interviews on referral marketing. You could have a free level where they can only play it, but they can pay a monthly fee to be able to download them and take them with them on the road. You can charge even more if you give them the audio transcripts. So giving someone more options, people will pay for that, and that has value.

Audio Interviews With Big Names - How to Land One

If I was just starting my information product business and had no profile, this is what I'd do in order to get started.

I'd quickly try to establish myself as an expert. But I'd leverage off the expertise of others.

Now the top guys in your industry or field may not know you. But they do know each other.

So, I'd try to position myself as a kind of public relations expert.

I'd go to each expert in the field I'm interested in and say: "I've got this idea. I'm putting together a book with a compilation of audio interviews on the world's greatest copywriters".

And if my field was something else, say music or health, I'd do exactly the same thing. I'd try to talk to them on the phone and really project a passion for what I was proposing. 

But if I couldn't get them on the phone I'd try to project it in an email. I'd say: "I'm planning on interviewing Bob Bly, Clayton Makepeace, Joe Vitale, John Carlton and Ted Nicholas. I'd also like to interview you".

I'd explain that I'm going to turn the interviews into transcripts which in turn will become a book that I plan on getting up on Amazon. I'd tell them about a Web site dedicated to the book.

That I'd be doing joint ventures...And that "I'm going to promote this like you wouldn't believe".

They'd be crazy not to come onboard.

Why?  Because by grouping them with other experts in their field, I'm reinforcing the perception that they too are an expert.

Plus, I'm doing all the promotion and distribution that they can leverage of.

Think about all the experts who contributed to the smash hit documentary, the Secret; people like Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield.

How better known are they because of their participation in that film.

It's a no-brainer when you think about it. Try it some time.
