Transcription - Will it be Replaced by Voice Recognition Software?

Well maybe as a professional transcriptionist I could be considered biased, but this article indicates a number of reasons why transcription will not be replaced by voice recognition software, at least for the foreseeable future.

What is voice recognition software?

Voice recognition software (the best known example is probably Dragon Naturally Speaking by Nuance) is software that allows the operator to speak in the computer in order to give the computer commands (e.g. to save a file) or to dictate speech into the computer. Over the past ten years it has been hailed a number of times as the answer to fast and accurate dictation - but we're still waiting. The latest version of Dragon claims to be 99% accurate and three times faster than typing, so I recently purchased a copy to see. Dictation only? It is important to remember, especially if you are producing interviews rather than one-person dictation, that the software will only recognise the one voice it's trained in. If you try to record an interview into it, it will pick up your voice but not the interviewee's. It is possible to re-speak an interview - listen to the interview recording and speak the words of both interviewer and interviewee a few words after they're said. However, that's an art in itself, and even a trained court stenographer would struggle to listen to an interview straight through, with no pausing, and do this, so how much time does it really save? Why is this software not about to take over the world? A recent seminar given by a seller of digital dictation systems and associated voice recognition the presenter indicated that voice recognition would probably only work well for three in ten people. This is because the software has to be first trained to recognise your voice (a process which really does only take a few minutes) and then continuously corrected and trained to recognise words that it's either not familiar with or simply doesn't recognise from your speech patterns, which is an ongoing process and does take time.

I used this software first about five years ago and I have to say it's come on in leaps and bounds since then, but even the latest version can be a struggle! I purchased the latest version on the advice of a potential client who claimed that even re-speaking his interviews (listening to a recording and then speaking the words into the software as they were said) he could get an hour of recording down in 2.5 hours rather than the four hours per hour it usually takes to transcribe. He asked if I would be prepared to use a voice recognition program and re-speak his files for him at a rate that reflected the 2.5 hours per hour. I agreed to purchase the software as I'd been toying with the idea of doing so anyway, and do a trial tape for him. I said I wasn't prepared to agree to 2.5 hours per hour until I'd proved it to myself, and he accepted this.

Funnily enough, several months on, I'm still waiting for that trial tape. Having experimented with the software I find that re-speaking actually takes me ...guess how long - once the checking has all been done, about four hours per hour of recording!

I do use the software now and then, because on a busy week it saves the fingers and wrists, but what it doesn't save is time! When I'm transcribing I proofread as I type. Then just a quick skim through is required afterwards to make sure no errors have sneaked through. Using the software to dictate one can probably do this, and there may be a little time saved, but one cannot do this while re-speaking because one is concentrating on listening to the words being said and repeating them a few words after, while trying to continuously play the recording.

Also because the speech recognition software is not intelligent it often doesn't know which homonyms to use. This is something that has been vastly improved over the years, and in simple sentences it is often capable of working out whether to, two or too is required; or whether it's here or hear. However in a longer and more complex sentence it frequently struggles with this and very careful proofreading is required afterwards.

Also, when you're dictating you don't really want to also have to use the keyboard, so the software allows you to include commands for making words bold, underling them etc. However, you need to leave a small pause between the command and general dictation or the software just things the command is part of the words being dictated. That also slows things up, as compared to professional transcribe using keyboard shortcut keys for these commands. And re-speaking an interview is even worse because every time there's a change of speaker that needs to be indicated either with the name or initials and a tab, or the name and a new paragraph, so there are a number of commands involved around that.

To save time the latest version of Naturally Speaking will actually try to punctuate for you ... so you dictate and it puts the commas and full stops in the right places. That's the theory anyway. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't recommend it! Conclusion All in all I'd say Dragon 9, the latest version, is a very useful tool, but it will be some time before it's really ready to replace transcriptionists.

Quick Audio Streaming - Big Leaps in Streaming Audio

Audio streaming is a technology that has been long developed and invented. However, it was only recently that this technology has been gaining wide recognition from a lot of people because of the numerous sites that have been seen to have contained audio files on it. The embedding of audio files on a site is a development that has struck many net users. A lot of people have loved the idea and a lot of them have seen the potentials of audio streaming in generating more money for a site. To achieve that, enlisted items are being presented below:

o You may want to have a pre-recorded Welcome Note on your site using your own voice to make it a little personal. This gives an air of making your site a bit of having a personal touch. However, do not go overboard when recording your welcome note. It may end up to be irritating that entertaining.

o When advertising a product, it is more motivating if you add some personal testimonials of your old and new clients. You may want to ask these people to record their statement of testimonial for visitors to listen. With the fusion of sounds and personal experiences, the more your visitors will believe the testimonial.

o Limit your audio files. It is not a good practice that you sprinkle all audio files on every corner of the site. By putting too much audio files, you are expressing the notion of becoming too verbose about your site content.

Digital Transcription

In modern time people have very less time. People are caught up in a very fast moving world, first thing in the morning have you ever sat down at your desk and wrote about the things which you need to do for that day? I never finish my list by home time. For all businesses this is the same; getting jobs completed gets delayed because of not enough time. Having extra pair of hands would be so valuable in this present moving world. How to manage this? The service of a digital transcription company can be really handy for this.

Digital audio transcription is a process where the digital audio files are converted into transcripts for companies without the time of manpower to do the same. The service used by the companies can widely vary; from law to medical, insurance to construction, IT to media, it's a huge list. When you outsource your digital audio transcription to a professional transcription company your can really save time and you can concentrate on other things.

Certain types of files which are used in digital transcription process are mentioned below.

1). WAV - This is also known as WAVE files. It was one amongst the first audio file developed for use with the PC. WAV file can also be shrunk to 12th of its original size. Due to its very large size it created many problems so consequently it is not much used in the recent days.

2). MP3 - This is used in music as compressed WAV file. MP3 format can be recorded in many digital recorders.

3). WMA - Windows Media Audio files. With all Windows based PCs this file comes, these files were especially developed for Windows Media Player. These files are more compressed; it is even more compressed than an MP3.

There are many types of transcriptions which will come of these formats; they widely range from teleconferences to interviews and everything in between.

How Audio Interviews Are a Big Money Maker That You Can Cash in On

Can you make money by cashing in on audio interviews? These are the real details on how this is accomplished.

When you are selling one on one that takes a lot of time. If I'm not using audio the way it's accomplished is simply by leverage. Doing audio interviews and distributing them on the Internet through your Web site is selling one on many. You only have to do it one time and after I finish an interview, I don't have to ever do the same one again and I can use it to sell my products or services or my credibility or create a package from it. I only have to do it once but it could be selling multiple people 24/7, anywhere in the world as long as they understand English. It's that leverage. That is what I've been able to do with a lot of my audio interviews.

One interview; I only did it once and it just plays over and over again to someone interested in cold calling. This is compared to someone working at cold-calling for 4-5 years. So that has been a good money interview.

John Carlton interview has generated income through affiliate sales. Ted Nicholas has generated sales. HMA interviews, its not just one interview I've got about 12, 13 interviews on my Web site which educate and promote people on how to become a marketing consultant and I only had to do those interviews one time.

The Art Hamel interviews. That interview sold a lot of product or that combination of interviews, not just one interview. I probably have 12, 13 hours of interviews with him. My consulting interviews where I'm consulting with people online that promote a product called Audio Marketing Secrets that has been valuable to me. The Eugene Schwartz audio, Money Man Interview which is an interview with an expert on corporate financing. My interviews on barter to sell my secret loop hole barter product. Even Alex Mendosian teleseminar.

So you can't deny that audio interviews work or that they sell products and services because they do and I'm doing it every day and I'm doing it while I'm sleeping 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and it's all automatic. I guess that's some of the proof elements that it really does work. I'm so convinced on it because I know it's true. But usually there is not a day that I don't sell something that's been sold automatically.

I just had a sell come in before writing this article on a product with an expert named Ken Ellsworth on persuasion, which is an automatic product. The Web site is like a little, automatic vending machine, a little money vending machine. It's like a collection of infomercials all in one place. Not all of them are selling and some are just pure content but there are a lot of interviews in there that are designed to sell something or to step in front of the demand of a prospect of someone who wants something.

Sometimes it's not even the interview it's the marketing. You may be able to have a terrible interview, really poor interview and still sell something because the market is super hungry. That is the most important thing is your market. But a well produced interview will sell more than a terrible one no matter who is in front of it. So you want to do it right from the first time.

Audio Streaming - How to Succeed - Part 3

HTTP Live Streaming

This is a system based on HTTP and incorporates media streaming and a communications protocol. It was first implemented by the Apple Corporation when they established their QuickTime X and iPhone software systems.

The way the live streaming system operates is to convert the data stream into a number of small HTTP based files. Each file is then downloaded, which in turn loads one small segment of the data stream. As soon as the stream is played, the client has the option of selecting a particular stream from a variety of alternative streams containing the same data but which has been encoded at different data rates. In this way, the streaming session is able to adapt itself to the prevailing rate of data transmission. When the streaming session begins, the system downloads a playlist which contains the data from the various sub-streams that are available.

Since the requests for data require only standard HTTP transactions, then HTTP Live Streaming is able to traverse any firewall or proxy server which themselves allow standard HTTP traffic to travel through.

Terms

HTTP - Also known as Hypertext Transfer Protocol, is an application-level protocol. There are two principal versions, viz. HTTP/1.0 which uses a separate connection for each document, and HTTP/1.1 that is able to reuse the same connection in order to download, for example, images of the previous page. As a result, HTTP/1.1 could be faster of the two versions since time is taken to set up such connections.

HTTP is a request/response standard used in client-server computing. The client is an application, such as a web browser, on the computer that is used by an end-user. On the other hand, the server is an application running on the computer hosting the web site. The client submits HTTP requests.

Protocol - With reference to computing, the term protocol refers to a series of rules which are applied to computers in order that they are able to communicate with each other when transmitting across a network. It is, in fact, a standard that maintains or brings about firstly the connection, then the communication and finally the transfer of data between computers. Protocols may apply to hardware, or software, or even a combination of the two. In a sense, a protocol specifies how a hardware connection performs.

Streaming Media - This refers to multimedia that are continually received by, and also presented to, the user of the data. At the same time, it is being delivered to the user by a provider of streaming data. The term streaming media refers to the method of delivery of the medium rather than to the nature of the medium itself. It is inferred that the distribution is over telecommunications networks since nearly all of the other delivery systems are either specifically streaming, such as radio and television, or they are characterised as non-streaming, such as books, video cassettes, and audio CDs. Internet television is an excellent example of what may be designated as a commonly streamed media.

Multimedia - It refers to the nature of the media used and content required that uses a combination of different forms of content. Media, in its broadest sense, utilises only established forms of material which may be either printed or hand-produced. On the other hand, Multimedia makes use of a combination of text, audio, motionless images, animation, video, and interactivity forms of content.

How to Add Streaming Audio to a Blog

According to Verisign, the global registrar for all websites ending with .com, there are around 180 million domains registered all over the world as on April of 2009. Whether all of them are active and alive with relevant content cannot be neither confirmed or denied and it is fairly safe to assume that a considerable portion of these are either parked, forwarded or just kept in safe custody by companies to avoid abuse of their reputed brands as well as hard earned goodwill. Out of this, around 70 million are blogs which to some extent, can be considered as alive if not updated on regular basis. So if you are the proud owner of a blog like me, then we are two among this 70 million or proverbially, two drops in an ocean.

Some blog for fun, some to scam, companies blog to spread brand awareness, some want to showcase their talent and others to make a living. Whatever may the purpose be, your blog should have to stand out from the crowd in delivering the content. Adding streaming audio to your blog is one way you can deliver content differently. By virtue of their dynamic nature, blogs are very good at getting indexed faster by search engines rather than their static counterparts. There is a lot of software out in the internet that claims to stream audio but, a few of them are in fact, capable of doing it. Most software simply links to a remote audio file which is exactly NOT how streaming audio works.

Contrary to conventional perception, it is the process that undergoes in creating compressed encoded files that is difficult rather than embedding it to a specific part of your website. Making streaming audio practical and accessible to all users depends upon the underlying format/program. Audio files can be encoded in Java as well as flash with both of them having their own ups and downs. However, the crowd favorite seems to be flash based streaming audio by virtue of its availability in 94 percent of computers worldwide that are connected to the internet. The element of flexibility, interactivity through a vast selection of customizable players that can be branded to seamlessly blend with the websites that hosts them also tilts choice towards flash based streaming audio. The compressed encoded files are uploaded to your web hosting account via ftp and in the case of blogs, is referenced from there into the post or page where you want the audio player to appear. Some software will only let you to reference files from the same server whereas others allow you to reference files from anywhere over the internet. So before you buy the appropriate streaming audio software, do some math on not only your present requirements but about audio streaming applications that may arise in the near and foreseeable future.

Make Your Website Announcements Page Even Better

Your website announcements page is important. But sometimes you really need something to stand out, and more importantly, you need them to do something. Often times there's something you need people to sign up for, to join or even just review a permission slip. Whatever it is, an audio redirector can help you improve the number of people who actually accomplish the task.

Another great reason to use an audio redirector is when your announcement is really complicated. Isn't it easier just to tell someone what's going on sometimes? An audio redirector will allow you to "talk" directly to your people - and avoid figuring out how to write it out.

So how does an audio redirector work? Well, first you need a microphone. Most of the time your laptop has one built in. And often times your desktop came with one. Otherwise, you can get one with headphones so you can use it with Skype or just buy a simple one. Either way, we're talking about $10 or so.

Now, don't get frightened, this is really easy. Windows media player will record what you say into the mic, as will RealPlayer - so you don't need new software. Just record your announcement "This is Dan Morris, I wanted to tell you about the banquet, where we need volunteers and what your kids need to do. blah blah blah. . . "

Then, and this is the good part, you use an audio redirector on your website to load up the .mp3 file you just recorded. The audio redirector will ask you where you want to send the "listener" once the .mp3 file has finished playing - automatically. So you can have the sign-up page, the order page - - - whatever page you want to pop up right after their done listening to your explanation.

Marketing Strategy Tip - How to Gain Access to Business Experts For Audio Interviews

Here some marketing strategys on how you can get business experts to agree to an interview.

This advice is not going to amaze you but it's really, really simple and it's something that everyone can do. You just simply ask.

In your day to day life you are encountering business experts all the time and you have the opportunity to say, "Hey, you are really good at what you do. Would you be willing to do an interview with me?" That is exactly what I did when I got the interview with Mark Joiner. Mark was a subscriber on one of my websites and I remember seeing his name come through and that he'd signed up.

He emailed me and asked me a question about my site and then I emailed him back and I said, "I know who you are. Nice to meet you," I answered his question and then he emailed me back and thanked me. I don't know if I just blatantly said, "Hey, would you be willing to do an interview for my site?"

I interviewed him first and then he invited me to be interviewed for a membership site he was promoting at the time.

Here is another example of a way I was able to get a business expert to agree to an interview, It was with a se;f publishing expert named Mike Simonic. Mike is relatively unknown to most people. He was a million dollar publisher of a special effects cookbook. He had a problem with one of my websites and he called me on the phone. He said, "Hey, I'm having problems logging in to your web site, what's the deal?" I helped him out and I said, "Hey, what do you do?" He says, "Well, I'm a publisher and I published this special effects cookbook." That sounded really cool and he sold a million copies of it. I mean a real millionaire self publisher.

His idol was Ted Nicholas and he'd been interviewed in a lot of news papers, and I asked if he'd be willing to do an interview and he let me interview him about his success.

This is the way way I was able to secure an interview with Bob Bly and Ben Settle. I remember I emailed each of them after seeing their newsletters. Before we even met and I said, "This guy is a good copywriter." He sounded like Gary Halbert.

But a simple email or phone call is all you need and you can have access to any business expert you need to interview.

Is Internet Radio Really That Hard to Do?

As soon as I released the first review copies of my book, Internet Radio: How to do it! I started receiving e-mail from people who read as far as the Introduction and thought that I was acting like some kind of scare monger by saying that it is difficult to create an internet radio station. I guess that I should be happy that they at least took the time to read through my book that far, but they obviously missed the point of what I was trying to say, and the purpose of the book.

No, it's not difficult to stream music or some kind of program out over the internet. It's not hard and it's not expensive, in fact most 14-year-olds could do it. But doing it RIGHT is something that very few will ever accomplish.

Even given the resources that the major radio station group owners have available, how often to their stations change format? How many stations in the town where you live are the same as they were 12 or 24 months ago? If these large companies can invest the huge amount of money that it takes to research, develop and operate a radio station, particularly in a large market, only to see it replaced by another, equally expensive format a short time later, it should tell you something about your chances for success in radio.

If all you want is the thrill of hearing something that you've thrown together coming out of your computer speakers, then internet radio IS easy. If, however, you want to build something that will still be there in 30, 60 or 90 days, and will build an audience then internet radio isn't quite so easy.

The fact is that you have advantages that the big radio companies don't have: namely that you don't have the overhead and revenue expectations that these companies have. But if you want to attract and hold more than a handful of sporadic listeners then you need to spend some time and energy doing some basic planning.

Developing an online radio station is a PROCESS - you research and plan it like you would any other business venture. There are aspects that are unique to broadcasting but careful consideration and a SWOT analysis will help you cover the most important aspects of the project. Basic, sound PLANNING is the key to achieving your goal.

Build Your Business Online - Why Bother With Audio?

When it comes to deciding what you will or won't do to promote and build your business online that decision should always be based on the big benefit for the customer first and your business second. Audio streaming is a decision you should make by informed choice. There are several things to consider when making that choice.

What are the big benefits audio adds to your ability to promote and build your business online? One of the first things audio does is it improves your ability to make a connection. When it comes to the way you communicate with a visitor to your website some of those visitors prefer to read, some prefer to listen, and some prefer to see things.

Yet, no matter the visitor's preferred method of communication audio does something that visitor isn't even consciously aware of. Audio enhances the human connection. This happens immediately and instantaneously.

Rather than your website simply being a domain name with content all of a sudden the visitor realizes there's a real live human being associated with or behind that website. Not only is this comforting it also reduces the level of distrust that visitor has when they click on your website.

The next thing audio does instantaneously and automatically is it engages the visitor. Listening to someone else requires an active decision on the listener's part. Plus once that listener decides to listen their mind adds dimension, emotion, and associations to that voice.

The listener understands there's a real person speaking to them from that website. At this point not only does audio improve your ability to open a connection and engage the visitor it does one more very important thing. The audio on your website does something that determines your success when it comes to building and promoting your business online.

Audio increases your ability to start a relationship with the listener. As that visitor hears your voice and makes associations with the words spoken becoming engaged with the message that listener is also engaging with YOU. This engagement is critically important.

If you plan to sell anything to anyone online or use your web presence to attract potential buyers you must develop the ability to start relationships that transition strangers into buyers. No matter what you sell. No matter what else you do or don't do.

From the visitor's perspective audio brings you to life. It gives them a sense of who you are and what you represent. It helps them connect and engage with you and decide if you may be just the person with just the solution they're looking for.

How to Fix Your Voice For Marketing With Podcasts and Videos!

Let your voice do the work to market your audio formats on how to make money. The most important thing is not the words you say, but how you say them that will make the difference.

So how do you sound? Do a quick voice audit. The most annoying sounds that will cause any prospect to tune out are: too nasal a sound (whining); too high a pitch (nervous sound); insincere tone (just wants my money); and a monotone sound (boring).

Make your voice powerful but trusting with these 5 key elements for delivery:

Key #1: sustained breathing method

Breathe from the diaphragm to make your voice last. Practise taking deep breaths so your shoulders do not rise; instead, mind-direct your breath to come from under the rib cage area. That's where your diaphragm is located and it acts like a bellows. You will achieve controlled effects to sound like an expert.

Key #2: show sincerity:

Lower your tone slightly. This will convince the listener that you are trustworthy and friendly. Speak in a conversational tone as if you are telling your best friend about this great product that you've discovered. Showing respect to your listener should shine through your voice.

Key #3: pace is critical:

Vary your pace of speaking. Don't rush through everything too quickly, or go too slowly; but change it up. Be sharp with beginnings and endings of your words to communicate clearly.

Key #4: words to emphasize:

Spice up your delivery by making the adjectives and verbs sound exciting. Say them with intensity, or quieter, or mysteriously. Can you say "yes" 5 different ways? Try it as an exercise to give your voice variety and eliminate any monotone.

Key #5: pause for effect:

Use pauses in your delivery to convey a climax or an emphasis of thought. This is a key technique used by actors. This brings you closer to persuading the listener because you speak with passion about your product.

If you follow these key elements to making your voice pleasant, then you will increase your customer base. The bottom line to consider is if the listener will be enticed to buy, or simply click off your audio. Mack Michaels is a great example of convincing one to join his club because of his genuine sincerity conveyed through the sound of his voice. Judge for yourself as you check this one out.

Website Streaming Audio Uses

Streaming audio is becoming more and more common with successful websites that are able to draw a considerable amount of visitors and most importantly, retain them in the long term. With streaming audio, you are literally providing the visitor an option to consume or use the content through their choice. Today's world and the market that we each and everybody are a part of is all about choices. Your use of streaming audio is only limited to your imagination and in case you are a little short of ideas or needs some brainstorming to start anew, then have a look at some scenarios where you can employ streaming audio for your benefit.

1. Personal Introduction - You have a personal website or a blog where you want to introduce yourself which includes but not limited to your name, where you live, what you do and what all are you interested in. Is it wonderful when you can speak a little bit about yourself and the whole world can listen to it?. It also facilitates a direct interaction between you and the visitor whom you do not want to lose. You might be thinking that a video is more appropriate, well, you need to sit in a good background with proper lighting, well groomed and dressed and also add along with this the effort towards a well edited clip. You can record an audio introduction about yourself even in your underwear and nobody is going to know it unless you boast it.

2. Give an Interview - You have in course of time, became an expert in your field which each and every one should be looking at, and you are requested to give an interview. You can give a written transcript of the interview BUT there is an enormous amount of authenticity if visitors can listen you speaking out on their favorite topic.

3. Welcome new visitors to your site - Nothing can be as impressive, inspiring, unforgotten and confidence boosting as a welcoming streaming audio message that you can put on your site for new visitors. You can simply put a "Thanks for visiting http:// www. yoursite.com" in text but imagine the difference that makes when you see a "Thank you" message pasted on to the door of a store and when the store owner comes to you and thank personally for coming to his store. An audio message can be the difference between a one time and a loyal visitor.

4. Customer/Fan testimonials - Many a time, you would want to sell products like software or e-books which is how most monetize their sites. A customer testimonial is an indispensable, inseparable, inevitable yet the most forgotten part of a sales copy. Consumers throughout history have relied upon the recommendations and reviews of others while arriving at decisions and when they hear a voice form a real human who says that the product is good or effective or does what it claims to be, then it subjectively assures him and provides the confidence to buy the product.

The Secret of Letting People Listen to and Download Your Audio Mp3 Files

There are several ways and options to deliver audio to your listeners. I'm using the Audio Terminator product for parts of my web site.

On my recent tele-seminar my welcome message automatically starts playing when you go to the page. There is an option with the Audio Terminator service when you create your button you can choose do I want it to automatically play on every visit or do I want the visitor to have to hit the play button, so you have that choice. So Audio Terminator is what I'm using.

To download the free audio, what I do is after I do the editing of the audio I will upload the audio as an MP3 file format and I'll upload it to the site into a folder and then when I want to make that MP3 available for someone who comes to the webpage - let's say I write "download here" on the webpage and then I take that text "download here" and I hyperlink it to the audio file. So when someone comes to the webpage they can take their mouse button and right click on it and save the file onto their computer.

But that is the key, releasing your audio. Don't hoard your audio. Don't ever put audio up that you can play only because that just frustrates people. People want to take their audio with them and they want to take it on the road and they want to play it their way. Don't determine how your market's going to listen to your interviews, give them choices.

Having the ability to download it is definitely a premium advantage and you can use that advantage to bribe your visitors to give up their name and e-mail address. In product creation that's another option. You could have three different levels. Let's say your selling a series of audio interviews on referral marketing. You could have a free level where they can only play it, but they can pay a monthly fee to be able to download them and take them with them on the road. You can charge even more if you give them the audio transcripts. So giving someone more options, people will pay for that, and that has value.

Audio Interviews With Big Names - How to Land One

If I was just starting my information product business and had no profile, this is what I'd do in order to get started.

I'd quickly try to establish myself as an expert. But I'd leverage off the expertise of others.

Now the top guys in your industry or field may not know you. But they do know each other.

So, I'd try to position myself as a kind of public relations expert.

I'd go to each expert in the field I'm interested in and say: "I've got this idea. I'm putting together a book with a compilation of audio interviews on the world's greatest copywriters".

And if my field was something else, say music or health, I'd do exactly the same thing. I'd try to talk to them on the phone and really project a passion for what I was proposing.

But if I couldn't get them on the phone I'd try to project it in an email. I'd say: "I'm planning on interviewing Bob Bly, Clayton Makepeace, Joe Vitale, John Carlton and Ted Nicholas. I'd also like to interview you".

I'd explain that I'm going to turn the interviews into transcripts which in turn will become a book that I plan on getting up on Amazon. I'd tell them about a Web site dedicated to the book.

That I'd be doing joint ventures...And that "I'm going to promote this like you wouldn't believe".

They'd be crazy not to come onboard.

Why?  Because by grouping them with other experts in their field, I'm reinforcing the perception that they too are an expert.

Plus, I'm doing all the promotion and distribution that they can leverage of.

Think about all the experts who contributed to the smash hit documentary, the Secret; people like Bob Proctor and Jack Canfield.

How better known are they because of their participation in that film.

It's a no-brainer when you think about it. Try it some time.
